We usually set goals that are destinations or arrival points. We’ve trained ourselves to choose measurable targets so that when we accomplish our goals, there’s a clear indication.

In order to execute the entire Script Ohio, the whole band must follow one person – the Drum Major. This leader is decked out in a stylish uniform and carries a huge baton. If he gets out of step, then the whole thing becomes a mess. To my knowledge, that has never happened. That is why they practice.

Ministry has its challenges. As a leader in a Women’s Ministry, I could not get out of my own way. In my zeal to serve and get the job done, I misunderstood my task. The job was not done correctly, feelings got hurt, the blame game ensued, and I felt broken and useless. Why?
