Priest Who Went to Hell Shares What He Saw

A priest from Michigan claims that he died and went to hell when he suffered a heart attack in 2016. In a series of TikTok videos that has now become viral, Fr. Gerald Johnson shares what he saw in the fiery pit. He said he was sent to the center of the Earth where he claimed hell is located. He said his experience changed his life and views forever, reports The Jerusalem Post.

“I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy,” the cleric warned. “I don’t care what he did to me. Nobody deserves that.”

Johnson revealed that he saw a demon punishing a man by holding chains around the man’s neck. He said the man was “walking on all fours like a dog and getting burned from head to toe. His eyes were bulging and worse than that: He was wearing chains on his neck. He was like a hellhound. There was a demon holding the chains.”

I don’t care what he did to me. Nobody deserves that. Fr. Gerald Johnson, lead pastor, Faith Culture Church in Austin, TX

Another part of hell which he saw was an area where music is played. Rhianna’s “Umbrella” and Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry Be Happy” were used to torture the damned souls. A group of demons sing the words to torment the wicked.

He added that “every word of every song was made to torture you for the fact that you didn’t worship God through music while you were on Earth.”

The lead pastor of Faith Culture Church in Austin, TX explained that a demon knows if it led people astray from God and it will overpower them in Hell.

Johnson disclosed that immediately after his heart attack in February 2016, his spirit left his physical body and he thought he was going to heaven. “I thought I did so much good during my life and that I helped so many people, but even so, I went down [to Hell],” he claimed. “I entered the very center of the Earth. The things I saw there are indescribable. It brings up so many difficult feelings when I talk about it.”

Eventually, he said he made his way back to his physical body. “I was angry with God because I did so much good in my life and ended up in Hell,” he said. “I rose up out of Hell and returned to Earth — and God spoke to me. He said, ‘You were secretly angry with people who harmed you, you hoped I would punish them. These are not your people. These are my people. I just want you to focus on the task I give you.’ Even though I did good, the thing I had in my heart was a lack of forgiveness for the people who wronged me.”

“A man who cannot forgive is a man who forgot that He was forgiven,” Johnson pointed out. “That is my experience from hell. It is a completely real place.”

Johnson’s story may seem unbelievable; scientists said many near-death experiences (NDEs) we know are inspiring, but distressing NDEs can also occur, reports Canada Today.

While there is no satisfactory scientific explanation for NDEs, researchers from the International Association for Near-Death Studies believe that NDEs are most likely due to a change in blood flow to the brain during sudden life-threatening events. As the brain begins to lose blood and oxygen, electrical activity in the brains slowly begins to shut down.

During a near-death episode, the brain is left to continue working, but without its normal operating parameters. Documented NDEs have challenged common beliefs and expectations about an afterlife, but one thing’s for sure, people who had an NDE said it was life-changing.
